A company with history

Sirva, formerly known as ADAM Transport & Team Relocations, has been involved in professional moving for over 130 years. The company was founded by CB Ingwersen in 1884 and began as a mail distributor. In connection with the World’s Fair in Copenhagen in 1888, wheels were added when ADAM started transporting visitors in small carts. Over the years, the company has undergone various changes, including acquisitions and mergers, that have brought us to where we are today.

Looking forward

In 2007, the European conglomerate Team Relocations made the decision to acquire ADAM Transport. In Denmark, we continued to operate under the name ADAM for several years, but in 2011, we changed our name to Team Relocations. Our global presence was further strengthened in 2018 when the leading global company, Sirva Inc., decided to acquire the entire Team Relocations group to enhance its position in Europe. This has led to us being a part of a global corporation today, with 4,954 employees operating in over 190 countries.
